Wow! It was a s***hole, but now I love it!
These were the words exclaimed by someone shown our newly refurbished wellbeing space downstairs in St Stephen’s Church!

and now looks like this!
We are so grateful for this wonderful space that is already in use for our many wellbeing activities including, counselling, Soul Art, Hope & Shine, Gambler’s Anonymous.
Soul art – ‘A chance to spend time being creative in a peaceful place, growing your well being. Each week we will try different art processes, explore some meditation techniques and think about how to flourish in our lives. All welcome, no experience needed.’
Hope & Shine – a group of like-minded people supporting each other in the challenges in their life including addictions, trauma and mental health challenges. This is lead in collaboration with Hope Housing.
Opposite our downstairs space, we have our Pod (pictured above) where we are able to house someone for a few nights whilst Hope Housing work to find them a longer term home. Having this shower is such an asset for this.
This has been possible through funding from the following organisations and generous anonymous donations from individuals. The transformed space is already benefitting the community of West Bowling and will continue to do so into the future.
