-
Ensure they are in good condition and are good quality. We are looking for clothes that are not stained and will cope with being washed many times.
-
Please wash and fold the clothes, we do not have facilities to wash them.
-
Please do not give us underwear, we sell some clothes on that are not needed and use this money to buy new underwear for the children.
-
We only have space for children/teenage clothes, so nothing for adults please. Generally, we do not take bedding or toys as we cannot sort and store these.
-
We will post on Facebook or our website the ages we most need at any time. If there is an item such as a pushchair, highchair or toys, again we will communicate this via Facebook. Feel free to ring us to enquire.
It is wonderful being able to give a family who maybe are asylum seekers or fleeing domestic violence clothes that are needed. Most of our families are suffering stress and hardship at the time they come to us, hence us wanting to give them the best we possibly can.
Thank you for your understanding and help. The volunteers and staff at Shine.
